Tim Mead

Sales

Tim's passion for the outdoors began at the age of 12 when he began working on the last vegetable farm in Cherry Hill NJ.  His interest carried him to continue his education at the time called Delaware Valley College.  His gained knowledge from the farm took his interest to learn the Ornamental Horticulture aspect of the industry.  While studying, he was working at a premier Nursery and Landscape center in Bucks County.  Upon completion of his education he became the Manager of the Nursery and continued there for 5 years upon which he moved back to South Jersey to become the Herbaceous Grower for the Farm he grew up on for 3 years. Seeking more challenges, he moved to become a Manager at a new Garden Center in
Somers Point NJ where he remained for 4 years.  Tim's desire to always be challenged and learn became available when an opportunity at Tuckahoe Nurseries opened for a Sales position which offered Tim a new aspect of the industry.  While there he worked with some of the leading Landscape Architects on projects throughout the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.  Tim retired as the Sales Manager after 10 year and moved to Johnson Farms where for the last 10 years has currently serviced Contractors, Garden Centers, and Re-Wholesalers in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

Tim is also active in his Community as well where he has served as the Chairman of his Towns Planning Board for the last 6 years, Serves on his County Board of Ethics, and The Cross County Trail and is a Masonic Brother in Lodge 591 in Philadelphia, PA.
